My pumpkin carving this year.. took me 5 hours with one of those scrapers from the pumpkin carving kits. The pumpkin is huge!! I carved it on Halloween after a party, so it was too late for the contest which ended on the 30th... which makes me a little sad. Next year i'll be done in time. The pictures still dont do it justice. The carving wraps all the way around the pumpkin, those dark spots were really hard to carve and i cant use my right hand very well cus it hurts so bad from carving this.

1-2: Aslan portrait details and zoomed out
3-6: Sillouette of Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Lucy, Peter, and Susan on a hill over looking the witches castle of ice
7-11: Castle turning into tribal/celtic knot design and back into the wardrobe in 11
12: detail of wardrobe with hangars and one coat and open door leading to trees
13-14: Lamp post in woods detail and zoomed out
Last Two pictures: Pumpkin in light and sized next to my left hand

YAY!!! I worked so hard on this pumpkin it looks nice.. too bad it will rot in a few days...

Look forward to next years pumpkin, i'll probably be doing a Lord of the Rings.. but not too sure yet.

:new: This pumpkin was too late for last year's pumpkin carving contest, so i seem to be able to enter it in this year's contest! -^_^- Still hoping to get another pumpkin carved this year, not sure when though. Gonna be a pirate theme if i can get a pumpkin and a few hours of 2 year old free time. :new:

First off, dang that's a huge pumpkin! And secondly, I really miss carving pumpkins with you my Sagey. I bought you and Meir two Halloween cards and even freaking wrote about it, but because of insanity, they haven't even been mailed out...oh well. This is amazing and so very cool! Squee!

That is awesome as all hell. I tried scraping stupid little clouds on my pumpkin to give it some 'atmosphere' and they totally sucked, so I can guess how damn difficult this pumpkin must've been to do.
All I can say is, wow, that is so damn cool, it takes my breath away.
