It's just like the branches of trees after freezing rain when a cold snap hits. (It also reminds me of Labrador at Christmas as they put the lights on the trees, then spray it with the hose. It's so cold there that the ice freezes right away and there is this gorgeous, crystaline, glowing tree.)
